The Certificate
Evidence of knowledge
that holds abroad
Candidates who pass an examination receive a certificate issued by the International Protocol Accreditation Association. Certificates have been written in both Japanese and English from the outset, and stand as evidence of knowledge and judgement that holds at home and abroad alike.
The certificate records the discipline examined, the grade awarded, the accreditation number and the language in which the examination was sat.
Two forms of issue
Under our name alone
Issued under the name of this association. The standard form, granted to all who pass an examination.
Jointly with an institution
Where candidates have prepared at an affiliated institution, the certificate may be issued jointly, bearing both names.
On the certificate

| Discipline | The discipline in which the examination was sat |
| Grade | The grade or specialist accreditation awarded |
| Language | Japanese or English, as sat |
| Number | The accreditation number, unique to the holder |
| Date | The date of accreditation |
How it may be used
Holders may state the accreditation on business cards, curricula vitae, professional profiles and social media. The discipline and grade should be stated accurately.
The accreditation is personal to the holder and may not be transferred or lent.
