To take up
the teaching of it
To become an accredited lecturer is to complete one’s own learning and, at the same time, to take up the work of handing that knowledge and experience on to others.
One person who passes becomes, in time, the doorway through which the next enters. It is the standing in which the purpose of this association is most fully embodied.
How one arrives
Sit the written examination in your chosen discipline. Those who attain the First Grade, 450 marks or above, may proceed.
Taken on the same day, individually and in a separate room. Written and practical are marked together, out of 1000.
A total of 600 or above earns accreditation as a specialist. Four bands are awarded according to the marks obtained, from Certified Specialist to Elite Specialist.
Accredited specialists may be registered as lecturers of this association, and are authorised to instruct under our endorsement.
What the standing opens
To instruct
Teach within a company, a university or an institution, under the endorsement of this association.
To advise
Advise organisations on protocol at the most senior international level.
To establish
Open a practice of one’s own. Support with the work of establishing and running it may be sought through ICPA.
Where to begin
Review the grades and marking, then apply for the examination with the practical assessment.
Preparation may be undertaken at ICPA, the International Protocol Academy.
