Those who pass an examination of this association are received as members. Our members are spread across the world, of many nationalities and many fields of work.
As protocol is the cord that binds one person to another, membership is the company of those who share that cord. Those who have finished their own learning receive the next to begin. So the circle widens.
Four ways in
Those who have passed an examination of this association. The standing is granted from the moment of accreditation, at any grade.
Those trained elsewhere in protocol who have also passed our examination. We receive them on equal footing, whatever their background.
Corporations, universities, embassies and other institutions in sympathy with our purpose. Their names are displayed on this site.
Diplomats, decorated figures and others of international distinction, invited by the association to build its standing with us.
Three tiers
The tier is yours to choose. It does not follow from the grade you hold. Specialist accreditation is open at every tier.

A dedicated profile page on this site is reserved for those who hold specialist accreditation. It follows from accreditation, not from the tier of membership.
Each in their own place
Our members are those who have passed an examination of this association. They sit with us from Japan and from countries across the world.
No activity is required of members. Each, in their own place and in their own words, carries their work outward. This association holds that the shape of its membership is made by each of them.
Becoming a member
Sit an examination
Pass an examination in any of the six disciplines and you are received as a full member. Begin by applying.
Support as an institution
Institutions wishing to support this association as supporting members are invited to write to us.
Receive an invitation
Honorary members are received by invitation of the association.
Those enrolled in the membership scheme of an affiliated institution may find that membership of this association is included. Please write to us for details.
